Online Public Engagement Session on
"Attention Deficit / Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in Children"

The Commission on Children (the Commission) engaged with stakeholders on 23 January 2021 to listen to their views on the topic "Attention Deficit / Hyperactivity Disorder (AD/HD) in Children".

Some 40 parents and carers of children with AD/HD or relevant symptoms took part in group discussions on three stages comprising pre-school, primary school and junior secondary school respectively in a video conference. They shared their views and experiences on issues from children's development and learning needs, difficulties faced in various stages, support for those on waiting list of assessment service, to transition from primary to secondary schooling. The group discussions were hosted by members of the Commission while representatives from the Education Bureau, the Social Welfare Department and the Department of Health also attended.
